Hidden Ashes VS Infused Ashes (Glass Rings)

When choosing your jewellery, it’s really important to consider what you do in your day to day lifestyle, while my keepsakes are made to last, sometimes they can be damaged beyond repair and this is typically as a result of your day-to-day habits.

Allthough the glass I use for my keepsake jewellery is very durable, no glass is completely immune to breaking if dropped from a sufficient height or onto a hard surface. Having the ashes layed UNDER the stone allows for an additional layer of protection, your loved one is safe under the stone so if it were to break it would be a very simple fix of replacing the stone whereas if the ashes are infused into the glass and the ring cracks/chips we would have to collect pieces of the broken ash-infused glass and put it back into the kiln, sometimes its hard to get the exact sizing right making this repair MUCH more complex, however again glass is THE best option when choosing memorial jewellery due to all its beneficial properties which you can read more about here:

Why Choose Glass Memorial Jewellery?

Whichever option you opt for, My BEST advice is to completely remove your jewellery when you are doing any sports or activities where your jewellery is at risk.
