Typically, I ask you to provide one teaspoon of ashes per 4 keepsakes however only a fraction of this is actually used and anything unsused will be returned with dignity to yourselves. If you prefer collection/drop off in person I am happy to open the urn on your behalf and return your loved ones ashes where they belong.

Breastmilk jewellery is deeply personal and symbolic, but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Some people might feel uncomfortable with the idea of turning bodily fluids into keepsakes, while others may prefer more traditional mementos. It also requires a process to preserve the milk, which might not appeal to everyone. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and what feels meaningful for each individual

At FMNK, I strive to balance the visibility of your loved ones' ashes with a sense of discretion. Rather than prominently displaying large fragments, I prefer a more delicate approach. This is my personal preference for showcasing ashes. However, if you would like the ashes to be completely invisible, please mention this in the 'additional information' section when adding items to your basket.

Handmade silver and gold jewellery requires care to keep it looking it's best.
We provide a complimentary anti-tarnish polish cloth with each order, which should be used each time you wear your jewellery to prevent tarnish from forming. You will need to replace the polish cloth from time to time.
If you find that your jewellery is looking a bit discoloured or worn you can find some in depth care instruction here.

Precious metal, particularly silver, is subject to tarnish. Tarnish is not a sign of silver being poor quality, but simply a chemical reaction between silver, moisture and sulphides, present in the air and on your skin.
Mass produced jewellery is often coated in various chemicals to provide a temporary barrier against tarnish. This barrier wears away after time, creating an illusion that the jewellery only tarnishes after a long period of time. Hand made jewellery is not coated in these chemicals, so you will need to clean your jewellery from the beginning.
The good news is that tarnish can easily be prevented, and it can also easily be removed. It's best to prevent tarnish getting a grip by gently cleaning your jewellery with an anti-tarnish polish cloth after each wear. We provide you with a complimentary anti-tarnish polish cloth to get you going, but this cloth will need replacing from time to time. You should also store your jewellery in the box provided, which has been specifically made with materials that don't cause tarnish.
If a piece has become very discoloured then the simplest solution is to use a silver polish cream or silver dip at home - My recommendation is haggertys silver cleaner bath. If you are struggling to return the shine to tarnished jewellery we offer a clean ing service.
